Duties, Authorities and Responsibilities;

To carry out and control the activities of environment - cleaning, treatment plant and park - garden services within the framework of Environmental Law, OIZ Law, Environmental Management System and related regulations.
Operation of Kayseri OIZ Wastewater Treatment Plant, obtaining environmental permits, and ensuring wastewater analysis.
To prepare a report on the chemicals to be used in the Wastewater Treatment Plant, to receive and finalize the proposals.
Making the project approvals of the pre-treatment plant within the boundaries of Kayseri OIZ and inspecting the working conditions,
To carry out studies on the collection, transportation and final disposal of domestic solid wastes originating from industrialists.
To make necessary controls on drinking water and to have chemical and bacteriological analyzes of water samples taken from various parts of the Region every two weeks,
To have and control the cleaning of streets, sidewalks and medians within the boundaries of the region,
For Kayseri OIZ to be “Greener and Cleaner”; To organize afforestation activities inside and outside the region and to raise awareness of industrialists on these issues.
To inform industrialists about environmental legislation and to organize trainings, seminars and competitions on the subject,
Controlling the environmental aspects of the business while issuing business and working licenses,
To have and control the environmental health pesticides within the boundaries of Kayseri OIZ,
To regularly maintain and control the green areas, trees and ornamental plants in the region,

Preparing annual estimated budgets for subordinates and submitting them to the management's approval.

Wastewater Treatment Plant: The tender for the wastewater treatment plant with a capacity of 40,000 m3/day for the treatment of domestic and industrial wastewater originating from the industrialists in our region was made in 2008 and put into operation in 2013. There are physical, chemical, biological and sludge dewatering units at the facility.

In this context; Wastewater Management System for Kayseri OIZ WWTP was prepared and the conditions that companies should comply with during the operation period were determined.

Criteria to be taken as basis in calculating the contribution shares to the operating expenses,

How to determine wastewater flow and pollution loads,

How the wastewater controls will be carried out by the OIZ and the penal sanctions to be applied in case the enterprises do not meet the required standards,

Cleaning: The streets in our region are cleaned regularly with 3 road sweepers belonging to our Regional Directorate. In addition, the cleaning of the pedestrian pavement, the central median and the maintenance of the green areas are contracted out to the contractor every year.

Park-Garden: It has reached approximately 200,000 m2 in our region; maintenance and styling works are done regularly. In order for the OIZ to be greener, saplings are planted free of charge on the Industrialists' plots every year; 150,000 saplings have been planted so far.

Garbage (Domestic) Collection: Domestic garbage originating from our Industrialists in the region is regularly collected 6 days a week by 3 compression garbage trucks, and an average of 30 tons/day of garbage is transported to the garbage dump of the Metropolitan Municipality. In addition, the containers used during garbage collection are given to our Industrialists free of charge by our Regional Directorate.

Environmental Health Spraying: In our region, fight against mosquitoes, houseflies (larval and fly periods) and other pests is carried out regularly every year. Pest spraying is done with 2 ULV machines. The application in question is a very important method in terms of environmental health; does not cause environmental pollution.

Control of Drinking Water: Drinking water supplied by our region is automatically chlorinated at the outlets of the warehouses and daily controls are made. In addition, chemical and bacteriological analyzes of water samples taken from various parts of the Region are carried out every 2 weeks and the results are communicated to the relevant industrialists.

Environmental Legislation Practices: Within the scope of the Environmental Law No. 2872, the obligations of our Industrialists to comply with the following regulations and OIZ Implementation Regulation are reminded and trainings are provided by informing about this issue.

Business License: Within the scope of the regulation on business and working licenses published in the Official Gazette dated 10/08/2005 and numbered 25902, business and working licenses are given to businesses within the boundaries of the Organized Industrial Zone.
